Around New Rochelle

The attractions of Manhattan are a 35 minute train/car ride away, however there is plenty to do in the area.

In New Rochelle itself there is "New Roc City" — an entertainment mall with a multiplex cinema/IMAX, bowling lanes, and ice skating rinks.

If you are in search of a retail mall and have a car to drive then the Westchester Mall in White Plains is your best destination. Please click this link for driving directions to the mall. (You will have to enter in your point of origin.)

The village of Larchmont has a great pizza joint (Nicky's), a nice French cafe/bakery (La Renaisance), a homemade ice cream shoppe (Longford's), and what Omar's mother/sister/fiance all tell him is a GREAT shoe shop (Plaza Too). And if you're looking for a book to pass the time Anderson's Book Store is a small, yet well stocked place (incidentally it's the store that Omar bought a lot of his early scifi/fantasy and D&D books from).

Here is the link to directions to Larchmont. This will take you to the crossroads in the center of the main village area. All the above stores are within a block and a half of this intersection.

We will add more info on things to do in and around New Rochelle shortly.
